What's your organization doing to make the world a better place to live in? There's one Vancouver business whose go-green success story has left others green with envy.
In 1998 local entrepreneur David Van Seters combined his business acumen and social ideals and turned those into the largest organic food delivery company in Canada – Small Potatoes Urban Delivery (SPUD) Inc.
You're invited to meet David at our first luncheon of the New Year at the Four Seasons Hotel on Thursday, January 12. He'll share his secrets on not just growing a business, but doing it with strong economic, environmental and social values as a guide.
Learn how to find new customers, retain existing customer relationships, find ways to drive operational efficiencies... and do it all while doing something good for the planet.
David Van Seters started Small Potatoes Urban Delivery(SPUD) Inc. with 3 employees and 9 deliveries on its first days of operations in 1998. Today the company is the largest organic food delivery service in Canada with 6000 customers, 20 delivery vehicles, and over 85 staff. It operates from four warehouse locations in Vancouver, Victoria, Calgary, and Seattle. SPUD has strong social mission and is a member of Canadian Business for Social Responsibility and the Business Alliance for Local Living Economies (BALLE). David sits on the Board of the Fraser Basin Council, a non-profit group working to foster local sustainability, and the Board of the BC Sustainable Energy Association.
