We are the official chapter of the Canadian Marketing Association (CMA) In BC. As such, our members enjoy all the rights and privileges of belonging to a chapter of the CMA.

ABOUT OUR SPEAKERS

Charlene Nielson, Category Manager Lotto, BCLC

Charlene, a Vancouver native, is the Category Manager responsible for the strategic development of the lotto category in BC including two national brands: Lotto 6/49 and the newest entry into the marketplace, LOTTO MAX. For over 18 years, Charlene has played an integral role within BCLC, successfully launching new brands within BCLC’s retail and hospitably channels, as well as managing national and international events and sponsorships. Her mandate includes operational responsibility and financial accountability for over $600 million in revenue. Most recently, she has represented BC as part of the national marketing committee responsible for the sales, marketing, forecasting and product management of the national lotto brands.

Emily Ford, Brand Manager LOTTO MAX, BCLC

Emily Ford is brand manager of the new national game LOTTO MAX, responsible for managing the discontinuation of Lotto Super 7 and launching LOTTO MAX to the BC market. With international experience gained from the UK, where she launched new brands with Emap Media Ltd. and Sainsbury’s Supermarkets Ltd., and re-launched mature brands with Blacks Leisure Group plc, she executed a strong launch campaign with innovative ideas and events.

She worked closely with the national marketing committee to plan the integrated launch campaign and develop national creative. Leading the national interactive strategy for LOTTO MAX and executing the social media campaign, along with developing engaging contests, promotions and PR events, BCLC used fresh thinking to reach their target market.
